"Actually footage" Room 7 episode
They show video at the end of the ROOM 7 Segment...It didn't look real, but can they SAY it's actual footage
If it isn't?
If they preface the episode by saying it bears no resemblance to persons living or dead, they can pretty much say what they like in the context of the story. That's how they can get away with doing "found footage" films like The Blair Witch Project, or ones that purport to be based on true events (but really aren't) like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
It's like the original radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, where they began with a disclaimer and then proceeded to do everything as if it were a real series of broadcasts. They did another disclaimer around the halfway point. Problem was, it was on at the same time as a very popular show, a lot of people were switching back and forth, and many missed the disclaimer.s So, a fairly large number of people genuinely believed a Martian invasion was in progress.
