I really enjoyed Noah Baumbach's pre-Greta Gerwig films...

Noah is very talented. Greta not so much. But that's just my opinion. Her character portrayals seem very exaggerated to me. And she's probably writing these lines herself.

It's not often an auteur performs in their own work, but when it happens, necessarly they have written their own lines. So what? It worked out pretty well for Orson Welles.

Too bad it doesn't work for Greta Gerwig. She's trying too hard or something.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actress, so she is clearly doing something right.
