Changes made for the TV version from the Books........

I read all the books a few years ago......but:

Wasn't Grace's husband DEAD in the books? Now he's living with a woman in a nice house and has tons of money??

Eric? Was he even mentioned in the books? I don't remember him at all.
He reminds me of a character in the books. Olivia's Mother marries a man and he has a son just like Eric. Kind of a shiftless/loser who always makes excuses. It seems like the decided to give Jack that son and not Olivia's step-father.

They are not following the book. Grace's husband did kill himself. Also her daughter didn't move away. I don't think it is
anything like the book.

I know this is old but yes Jack had a son who had a girlfriend and baby. But they all moved to seattle from what I remember. Read the books last year. Need to read them again. I hate they made so many changes!
