Andie McDowell is 57 and I'm guessing that her character has to be of a similar age. The character of Paul seems to be around 40 (the actor is 43). Dylan Neal who plays Jack is 46, which is also young for her, but he does look much older than that, so I buy that Jack could be 49 or 50 and maybe Olivia is supposed to be 50 or 51.
It's a bit distracting when Paul is hopping around like the energizer bunny who has a crush on his teacher.
If the tables were turned and he was older you'd think nothing of it.

shareI got the impression that Andie's character is supposed to be younger than Andie herself which doesn't really work as Andie does look 57. So it becomes confusing. In the pilot ep Justine mentions that her mother has an issue with Warren because Warren is only a couple of years younger than her mother!
Brennan Elliott was only 38 at the time of the show!
