Releasing this straight to DVD?

It didn't do very well in the theaters.

Theatrical release is more of a loss leader with the smaller films and most films tend to make more after their theatrical release run. All those who saw or heard that the film was in theaters but never saw the film will be more strongly swayed to buy or pay for a viewing than if it was straight to DVD not to mention the publicity and marketing value of release in theaters.

I'm curious to see if this will do better on VOD.

I think there's enough negative word-of-mouth from those who saw it in theaters (not to mention reviews) that it won't rake in much from here on out.

I'm sure it'll make some on rentals, especially from the Zach Braff fans that are still out there, but overall I don't think it will make that much on DVD.

Guess it hasn't done too well on DVD either. No talk of a sequel in the works.
