Was anyone else disappointed with Ride Along 2?

Is it just me, or did anyone else leave the cinema, saying to themselves 'meh'. I guess they were always going to make a sequal with the first one being such a hit.

I wouldn't say the film was lazily made, but i can honestly say i didn't laugh ONCE during the movie. Even the scenes i knew were supposed to be funny didnt make me laugh.

A major criticism of the movie i have is it was all so predictable. An i could spot the ending a mile away, and when it did end i was asking myself, thats it??

But i guess this is a major thing with Hollywood these days, just pumping out sequals - Dumb and Dumber and Zoolander to name two sequals that had no reason to be made.

Apart from the location change is their anything different to the first movie? If anything it feels like the first movie rebooted, just like the recent Robocop and Man Of Steel. Supposedly new movies but when you break them down, exactly the same as their predecessors.

5 hours ago, I was exiting the theater feeling a bit ripped off. Had I bothered to watch the first movie online, I would probably have saved myself $15 for a ticket to this sequel.

Other than Boyz n the Hood, I have never really been all that impressed with Ice Cube's movies. I would criticise the movie, but it has been O'Shea's lackluster acting ability that I don't appreciate.

I was looking for the humour in the movie. However, I suppose the humour was intertwined with the whining I heard during the action scenes. "Let me go witchu" "No man". *later* "I could embarrass him outta the police force". I mean, if "James" was supposed to be taking things seriously, he would have left "Ben" to prepare for his wedding. Not very smart humour. But that's how buddy cop comedy movies go.

In my opinion Ride Along 1 and 2 are disappointing films. I'm even surprised that some critics are comparing them to the Rush Hour filmd

The action was alot better in this but not much else plus the comedy aspect was dull. It was average at best. First one is alot better.

I wasn't, because I hated the 1st movie, so I wasn't expecting much from this one. Also:
-ROBOCOP 2014: 6/10
-MAN OF STEEL; ZOOLANDER 2: 5/10
-DUMB AND DUMBER TO: 4/10
-RIDE ALONG 1 & 2: 1/10

The first one was mediocre too - so the sequel at least matches it, or even exceeds it, depending on your perspective... I thought it was better, but that wasn't hard.


