One question I would like to ask any young killer..

"Did you grow up with your two biological parents, and did they love each other"?

For psychopaths like the "innocent" one who killed Cassie, there are never any hope anyway.
But it seems that many young killers come from broken homes or are adopted.

Being adopted or from a broken home does not make a killer. My parents are divorced, and because of that, I knew I would never put my own children through that. And after 33 years together (since we were 16) and four children, I think I have at least accomplished this.

But most murderers come from unstable families.

That still is not an excuse for any of their actions. I grew up without mom. It was a loveless home, more like military vibe. Because of that, I became independent and studied hard to be on my own. Broken home could be the base for success as well if you put your head in the right place.

Most murderers might come from unstable families, but most people who come from unstable families do not become murders. It is not an excuse for their behaviour or even an explanation. There's a lot of other issues that come in to play to have someone turn out that way.
