Would probably be better if it was a straight up building show.

Making it another fake reality show doesn't help, it's not a good reality show or a learning show now. It doesn't make science cool either, wonder what's the demo they are shooting for.

I'm in total agreement. I like shows that feature engineering in all forms but this format they have opted for in this show is just terrible. They get rid of contestants but they are still there participating. Why? Well I supposed the challenges are big enough to require teams of five. But then if that's the case, why not just have open auditions for teams. Similar to how junkyard wars/scrapheap challenge was set up. Teams made up of friends or people who work together and know each other.

Then to cap it all off they bring back the one person everyone else hates on the premise that he might learn and change. Bollocks! Ratings more like. To add contention to whatever group he was in.

What really frustrated me though was when they actually explained what R/C was. Really? Wow. This is a show about engineering, on the Discovery channel, likely aimed at people with engineering interests. People who probably don't need to have their hands held through any kind of description of what remote control is or what is does. But apparently the shows producers think the audience is dumber than a sack of house bricks.

I agree....I was hoping with a group off such intellectual contestants, we would not get the same BS drama we got on The Real World or America's Top Model.

I was wrong. So wrong.

The type of reality competition show I want is like the recently concluded VH-1 DJ competition called Master of the Mix. All they showed was the competition. None of the BS behind the scenes drama. No petty fighting. No crying Gui.
