Week 3 water cannon

That water cannon was way too powerful. I can't think of any real world scenerio where their shelter could expect to encounter a force that strong that could also be survivable given the rules of the challenge.

Perhaps a tidal wave could be that powerful, but if anyone was to be struck by a tidal wave in either shelter, even if the shelter withstood the force, the occupant is now underwater with only minutes to live.

The water cannon should have been dialed back significantly to real world levels if they were designing a challenge that was actually achievable.

I do agree, nothing was going to stop that water cannon. These challenges are pretty damn hard, I did enjoy the last episode I watched, which was the one with robots. I think using robots in this way could be a much more entertaining show than those silly robot wars. But yeah, the water cannon thing was way too much for a small shelter like that to handle. I'm not sure why they would even try it. In fact, these challenges are so difficult, I'd like to see if that WET engineer can do them.

A tornado.

reply

Sure, but even a permanent structure such as a house isn't expected to stand up to a tornado.

But it was water.. what real life event could simulate a water canon like that?? Lol, maybe in a war if battleships had water guns!
