Rainmake Entertainment

I'm disappointed that Rainmaker have this. Escape from Planet Earth wasn't really that great and they haven't done anything else of note.

I guess it's something that they aren't writing it, maybe thats why they are doing it and some of the bigger studios refused to have their story written for them?

Obviously I doubt the likes of Pixar and Dreamworks would have taken it on as they'd rather do their own thing, which is understandable. I'd have really loved to have seen Blue Sky Studios (Epic, Rio, Ice Age) do it, they have already licensed Dr Seuss for Horton. And their animation is superb.

Or even Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me).

Bit of a shame, but hopefully they pull this off.

Well, Sony owns Sony Animation studios but they aren't having them do it either for whatever reason.

Rainmaker is notable for the early CG shows Reboot and Beast Wars actually. They were one of the few early CGI animation pioneers next to Pixar.

I really doubt the film would be better under another studio since Rainmaker are only animating it. They have little to no creative input on the story or script.

Maybe the quality of the animation would be little better at another studio, but that would be hard to say since animators jump between different studios all the time anymore.

They need to get the ReBoot writers on board for this! Someone contact someone ASAP!

I am a little unsure about this as well, I realize this will be a movie for kids but I hope it is taken a bit more seriously than the likes of Escape From Planet Earth.

Not too concerned about the animation, the in game animation comes the Future trilogy was film quality

Actually, if you look at the various animated series' created by Rainmaker under their previous name, Mainframe, you'll see some really ambitious, complex storytelling full of visceral action and surprisingly nuanced characters. Their involvement makes me far more interested in the film, frankly.
