Should This Be Remade?

I've often heard some people say that in terms of the movies that get remakes, the ones that should get them are the ones that had good ideas in them, but weren't as executed as well as they should've been. Think Ratchet and Clank could use an actual film remake or something, to work with and build upon the good ideas? From what I'm hearing, some things that might help:
Maybe not make it an origin story, but more like one with Ratchet and Clank already in action, and building upon their relationship and the world around them. Maybe even give it an original story, that wasn't in the games.
Make the humor more like that in the original games rather than have it be kid-friendly. Keep the innuendos and other jokes and so on, so it'll still feel like the games. Maybe go for a high PG-13 rather than a PG.
Stuff like that. Think that could work?
