Why the heck is this movie so underrated?

Sly Stallone is linked to it, so people go ape *beep* Funny how a few months ago everyone was supporting him to win an Oscar...

I know for a fact a lot of people across Europe didn't watch it, all countries with no native speaking language as English didn't watch it because the publisher refused to air the English version in those countries.

For example, I'm from the Netherlands and was only able to see it in Dutch so I didn't watch it. Same was for Germany, Italy, France etc.

I grew up with the games in English and want to hear the English voices I sure as hell ain't going to watch some botched up version with Dutch voices.

What's even worse I'm probably going to pirate this movie now the moment there is an English torrent online, anyway their lose.

Who ever made that decision I hope he/she got fired.

It had literally zero marketing here in Sweden. I only found out about it by accidentally overhearing a coworker talking about the fact that it had no marketing and was set up to fail against angry birds that had ads, trailers and merchandising everywhere.

The film was pointed towards the wrong audience. People who played the original game are either in their early 20s or late teens. It's like someone who watched the original Star Wars movies as a kid back in the 70s and today went to watch a G rated Star Wars movie.

That's basically why the movie got very average to under average ratings. The animation was 'meh' compared to other animated films released around the same time. The Jokes fall flat 90% of time (of course humor is subjective but most people usually think the same way about comedy) with most of the jokes being so stereotypical and cringey that a 10 year old wouldn't laugh. The voice acting itself is OK but not amazing by any means.

Now this movie was just executed so badly in so many ways. It would have been 10x better if the movie was made in a similar fashion as to Zootopia. It is both kid friendly in most aspects and many adults can enjoy it with the suggestive humor and scenes and general dialogue. Ratchet and Clank can defiantly be enjoyable to most children it's just this movie doesn't expand to much greater extents than Zootopia which is where it fails horribly. Hopefully from this you'll understand why it has such a low rating.
