Rosa and Sylvia relationship? Where did Rosa and Bernardo meet?

Was anyone else underwhelmed Rosa and Sylvia's relationship never became sexual? What a twist that would have introduced to the plot! Especially since there was a huge lead-up to it and it never happened: Rosa laying half naked on their marital bed with Sylvia, Rosa on the merry-go-round with Sylvia expecting her to say she was attracted to her, after complimenting her on her hair, personality changes, marriage trouble, etc.

Also, where did Rosa and Bernardo meet for their encounters? Was that Rosa's place? From what we see later, it seemed like Rosa lived with her parents. And where did Rosa get money, her parents? She seemed pretty well off for a young jobless youth.
