Probably not. Seeing as how she's dead and all. First episode implies that. But some people think that the hivemind Unity might have assimilated a human that became Beth's mother and gave birth to her, and eventually broke up with Rick and is estranged from Beth, possibly without any sort of emotional attachment to her at all.
