From some Technology website - 'Rick And Morty' Season 3 Updates: Creator Dan Harmon Slams Bashers On Twitter; Upcoming Season Not To Happen Anymore?

It goes on to say - It can be recalled that series creators of "Rick and Morty," Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland previously assure the fans that the show will return before the end of the year. However, the year is already about to end and there have been no news on when the release date yet is, leading to speculations that it may not happen at all.

I'm getting tired of waiting. I don't think there will be any more episodes.

That is from iTech Post which is notoriously click-baity.

The headline is based on this sentence

Since there have been no updates on the developments of "Rick and Morty" season three, many of the fans are speculating that it will no longer come into light.

That is so unbelievably vague that I would totally ignore it. If there were some on the record analysis by a pro in the industry or details about legal issues, tech issues (remember Toy Story II was almost totally lost due to backup failures), bankruptcy, etc, I might give it some credence, but as is it seems like a headline totally designed to get clicks.

It's coming for sure, in the first half of 2017 I suspect. Rick And Morty is by far Adult Swim's biggest hit, there's no way they would abandon it at this point. Long gaps between seasons isn't a new thing for AS.

It is frustrating though. Why bother making the announcement that it'll come before the end of the year if that is clearly not the case?

There was a time when the same could be said about Metalocalypse. Look how that turned out. To be honest Rick and Morty and the Venture Brothers are the only reasons I continue to watch Adult Swim. The people in charge over there are pretentious morons who have no idea what good entertainment is they just get lucky every once in a while and stumble on to it. The vast majority of shows they have and back are pure crap. I can honestly say when ever those two shows are over I will be happy to never tune into the once great but now garbage network.
