Does anyone else dislike the Inter-dimensional cable episodes?

I think Rick and Morty is a great show, getting the right mix of smart and dumb humour. But I don't like the two episodes where the family watches shows and ads from around the world - they were like bad Saturday Night Live Skits, like the writers were throwing up random ideas.

I think the first Interdimensional Cable episode was the better one because it at least had the emotional moments of Morty's speech to Summer and actor Jerry declaring his love for the other Beth.

Agreed.

They're probably the weakest episode of each season.

Still enjoyable, but yeah...

when u think of garbage, think of akeem

Those two are fan favorites. Turn in your Rick Cards and go eat crap with J19Z7 Rick. You guys will be great pals I can tell.

you mean to tell me that you DONT want to know how plumbuses are made?

reply

They're probably my favourite eps. Sure, it's a bit of a cop-out as they don't have to think of much of a storyline, and can spend a lot of time on a pretty stupid concept (like the dude who isn't keen on personal space, that takes up a good few minutes of screen-time) but some of it is brilliant: man vs car, ants in my eyes Johnson, plombuses, the hamsters who live in human anuses. And then the gang trying to work out all the logistics of the latter.

reply

I hated those segments.
It left such a bad taste on an otherwise well written show.

reply

They were improvised, that's why they might have felt like they're out of the context

reply

I didn't like them either, except for Jerry's fate without Beth and Morty's speech in the first one and Jerry's dilemma in the second.
