I have nothing against the actress, but what a horrible recast. The old Destiny was heavier, and shorter. The new Destiny is quite the opposite! Why did OLTL do this??

I think they were going for a more mature sexier look. I think the old Destiny was a cute kid but she wouldn't be able to put off sexy. Also she couldn't act. I haven't seen enough of the new Destiny to judge her acting.

the original actress who played Blair was Amerasian (half-Asian, half-white). Blair's original name was Blair Daimler. She was played by Amerasian actrress Mia Korf. Blair's mother was Addie, Dorian's sister, while her father was an orderly who raped Addie at the mental institution.

I don't care for the new Destiny. Yes, she is sexier, taller, thinner...and that's just my point. Every once in a while I like to see someone I can relate to. She was shorter and heavier...not a 'model-type' character. She wasn't one of The Cool kids nor did she run with a pack. She did not succumb to peer pressure. She knew what she wanted to be and do and how she wanted to get there. That's what made Destiny who she was...more or less being an outcast because of what she looked like. It's obvious that PP has changed Destiny to appeal to the younger generation which is okay. But if I wanted to watch One Tree Hill or Dawson's Creek, I'd go watch THEM not OLTL!
