LOW RATINGS

I am loving the show, but I am totally surprised at the low rating on IMDb. If this were a network show they would be pulling the plug. After seeing the low rating, I gave it an almost perfect rating. I hope those of you who like the show will rate it, so Prospect will not pull the plug on what I feel is a good show..

I think this is because people go on the original board since it has a photo, and was the one we always posted on. On the original board the show has more and higher ratings. I think this new page just showed up recently.

If IMDB ratings had anything to do with shows staying on the air a lot of good shows would still be on. I totally reject the theory that it does, but just in case I'm going to go give American Idol the lowest rating I can right now.

I am loving the show too. But I really don't think the IMDb rating has much of an effect of the show's future. What really matters is how many people watch it. As long as enough viewers watch the show it should hopefully stick around.

It seems like both Soaps are on the way out from what I have been reading. If they cut the shows to two days per week, we'll probably lose some of the actors to better paying shows...also I'm not sure how much content can be covered during two 24 minute segments each week. I certainly hope they can work something out because I am enjoying both Soaps.

It doesn't seem like they are failures yet, but I don't think PP has had the luck with them that they originally thought they would. But I agree that I hope in the end everything works out. I don't watch AMC, but I am glad for the fans that it is back. I hope both OLTL and AMC get to stick around.

How do they calculate the ratings for onlines shows anyway? I have always been curious about this. Is it through the IP addresses? I am enjoying the show, but it's still kind of weird to me to be watching on my computer. Just curious how this will all play out. Hopefully for a number of years after everything everyone went through to bring OLTL and AMC back.

Actually, it's more precise than TV ratings. Most viewers use Hulu to watch, so Hulu keeps track of who watched and when.
