If I were Todd, I would stop wasting my time with Jack who is a punk.

Todd was a punk, too, when he was younger. In college, he orchestrated a gang rape. Maybe Todd doesn't want Jack to turn out like he did...

Yeah, if Todd works at it hard enough maybe Jack will only become a single rape type person.

Jack is his son. Why would he stop trying to build a relationship with him?
