I agree, this is so obviously a HUGE rip off remake of Blair Witch, filmed better with slightly "Better" explanations, but there was so much plagerism here it's not even funny.
Black screen title cards to indicate when events are taking place = check
Female lead in vein of Heather Donahue = check
Murders blamed on Man deemed insane = check
Portion of movie spent interviewing people = check
Stay in a decent place first night there = check
Group goes through woods and camp there in the same tent = check
Group go hiking for certain place, walk in circles for three hours even while following compass = check
Arguments about the map = check
Sounds heard in the night for several nights = check
Someone scratching on the outside of the tent = check
Character goes missing, is male, others yelling for him in the woods = check
Characters yelling for missing team mate during night = check
Rock formation where murders were committed? = check
Running in the middle of the night, shaky camera angles? = check
Arguments about being lost = check
Character in woollen hat says ominously "We're gonna die out here" = MASSIVE CHECK!
Character films selfie shot talking about how "scared" she is, how "sorry" she is, how they "never should have come out here" = MASSIVE BIGGER CHECK!!!!
Ends in a cabin with symbols painted on the wall = RIDICULOUSLY HUGE BIG MASSIVE CHECK
Yep. Same movie.
Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it was too much of a rip off of BWP to enjoy it. I think if this had been made first and Blair Witch had never been released, this would have been huge.
