Honest to god masterpiece

I never even noticed the time passing while watching this, it didn't feel like an over four hour movie to me, the laid back island atmosphere kindof almost required this film to lazily drift by like you sitting outside watching other people's lives. I thought this has easily pushed it's way into my top ten films of all time by the end of this harrowing film experience. Bravo!

It is a fascinating and immersive film and a brilliant example of 'contemplative/meditative cinema'. I've seen one of other film from the director, 'From What is Before' and that is even better in my honest opinion (at 5 hours and 40 minutes in length). Highly recommended. I'll be watching more of his work in the future if I can, it's a shame his films (apart from Norte) are so hard to get hold of.

Cinema is the memory of life.
