Soldiers
Who were the soldiers that made Omar stand on the rock? Were they Arabs or Israelis? Also is the whole movie in West Bank? Are any parts in Israel? or are the walls just separating Palestinian land?
shareThe soldiers were Israeli. There are no Palestinian soldiers. I'm not even sure they have police. If they do, they're poorly equipped with no real authority.
The wall blockades virtually the entire West Bank from Israel proper. Some Palestinians live west of the wall, but most are within. I guess it was never clear where he would sneak over to versus where he lived. I assumed Nadia lived west of the wall.
Actually there is Palestinian police in the West Bank.. Do you think people can steal and rape and there would be no one to stop them? Palestine has its own laws and everything like a normal country would, the only difference is it's occupied by Israel.
