The RAP persona is a bipolar thing

Years ago I worked with this lady that had a son who was bipolar and would always go off his meds, and when he did he would run off and take the persona of a rap artist just like in this movie. So strange that in this movie, and apparently in his real life, the director did the same thing during his manic highs. He would also try to kill himself on more than one occasions. It was so sad, and I cant imagine what it must feel like to be on meds after one of your manic highs and not be able to feel anything.

I have a friend who is bipolar and he does the same thing. Weird. Especially because I am bipolar and couldn't rap if you paid me to.

I didn't think this "rap persona" came across though, there was nothing rap about him even when he (kind of) rapped it felt more like a regular poet, and not even a slam-poet which would be the closest connection between rap and poetry
