Why didn't the script allow the non-white characters to be real people?
I know a lot of you will probably bash me for being a SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIOR or a POLITICALLY CORRECT CRY BABY but the "weirdo Asian", the "perpetually horny black lesbian" and the "Debbie Downer Mexican immigrant" were all unfunny.
I loved the first Pitch Perfect but the sequel was a huge dud. I enjoyed the music numbers but the humour in this series has become worryingly mean spirited. Even the Fat Amy stuff has become annoying. Yeah, I get it - it's a COMEDY. Comedy isn't supposed to be polite - BUT - can there be more of an effort, in future films, to make the ladies of colour as human as the main characters?
I was really disappointed by this film. Very few laughs and a lazy script.
Anyone else agree or will everyone reply with "Cool story, Bro"?
