Why Did They Becca and German Lady

Why did they decide to have that weird subplot where Becca was attracted to the German Woman and melt everytime she touched her?

I found that funny. Better than a bunch of smack talk.

I thought it was so refreshingly different from the usual relationship opponents have in these sort of "competition films". It was also super realistic, because nice people like Becca are never good at smack talk, plus, people under pressure do usually say the first thing that pop
s into their head. It was hilarious how Becca was caught off-guard herself - see, most films dont show that. To me it seemed like a very Elizabeth Banks type of thing to put in: I love her brand of funny, it's very rooted in reality.

I didn't find her all that attractive. She looks more like a drag queen.

Agree...it was hilarious.

I loved that thing betwee, Beca and the German woman. According to Imdb Anna Kendrick improvides those lines...so more a Anna Kendrick touch then an Elizabeth Banks touch.

I loved it, it was something refreshing, and it tuned my mind to imagining those two together in a very private setting :3

I loved it. Let me get a little technical:

What I believe is that everyone is on a kinsey scale. I also believe that few people are truly a 0 or a 6 because many traits are found in both sexes. For example, I like men because I'm attracted to broad shoulders, big hands etc. However, although more rare, women can also have broad shoulders and big hands.

I have enjoyed the looks of thousands of men in my life, but I will admit that I found one girl extremely attractive once. I went to highschool with her and she played the tuba. She was an out-lesbian and she was smart, funny, athletic and so laidback. I don't consider myself straight because of this. I would have gone out with her in a heartbeat. So therefore, I would rate myself a 2.5 on the kinsey scale. I really enjoy men, but if I ever found a woman I wanted to date, I wouldn't be ashamed to admit it.

Lots of people have experienced that moment when someone of the same gender halts your straight thoughts and gets your brain moving into overdrive. You question your sexual identity and possibly more. Becca experienced this - it's relatable.

Taken from Wikipedia, but very accurate:
The Kinsey scale, also called the Heterosexual–Homosexual Rating Scale,[1] attempts to describe a person's sexual experience or response at a given time. It uses a scale from 0, meaning exclusively heterosexual, to 6, meaning exclusively homosexual.
0 Exclusively heterosexual
1 Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual
2 Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual
3 Equally heterosexual and homosexual
4 Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
5 Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual
6 Exclusively homosexual

Those lines were great, and improvised by Anna Kendrick. They had multiple purposes.
First, they added comedy (other then Fat Amy's slapstick).
Second they added a little something for the males watching. Made me all tingly for some reason.
