Intro song?

What's it called?

reply

I'm not sure it has a title. It was written specifically for the show by Josh Homme (from the band Queens of the Stone Age) and Mark Lanegan, (from the band Screaming Trees).

Couldn't you do something less drastic than sleeping with her? Couldn't you just kill her?

reply

Oh wow that's awesome! Bourdain is too cool for school if you ask me.

Thanks for the response :) and btw, how did you know that??

reply

No problem! I had watched the first episode a little late, and it was one of the enhanced episodes where the little info boxes pop up with behind the scenes tidbits and trivia -- the song was one of them. I didn't remember what the guys' names were or which bands they were in off the top of my head though. I used Google for that!

reply

Huh. It sounds so familiar I thought it was a cover.

"Black riders came from the sea."

reply

it's a cover, but I do not remember the title and artist of the original song.

reply

It's not a cover. It was written and recorded specifically for Parts Unknown by Josh Homme & Mark Lanegan.

"I was born for politics: I have great hair and I love lying."

reply

I stand corrected. It's an original.

reply

Are you a Queens of the Stone Age fan by any chance? Maybe that's why it sounded familiar to you. (I don't know their music well at all, so I have no idea if the theme song is typical of their style or not).

reply
