Bourdain is an idiot for picking the Bronx of all the Boroughs in terms of food.
I understand not picking Manhattan but they could have picked Queens which is a melting pot and has the Asian good composition in it which the Bronx pathetically lacks. Even Brooklyn could be preferable.
And at least in Queens it is unique as there are two airports, nice areas, ghettos, middle, and working class.
I agree it was the worse episode of the series. Truly a pathetic place for food.

Im not defending the episode just the borough, a borough of 1.3 million people for god sake, loads of neighborhoods. Your catering to old cliches without personal knowledge shines through
Queens is the largest borough in NYC by land mass size. Brooklyn is the most populous. BOTH boroughs by themselves are way more diverse and cosmopolitan than the Bronx.
I don't deny there is a great food in the Bronx and most of it is Italian which again both Brooklyn and Queens have IN ADDITION to Chinse, Indian, Polish, Korean, Romanian, Greek, Russian, Middle Eastern, etc.
Either pick Queens or Brooklyn if you want to pick a real NYC borough. Picking the Bronx, Manhattan, or Staten Island are bad representations.
