New Game MINUS

When Arkham Asylum came out, it had very few flaws. The inability to continue fighting bad guys after the game was beaten was one of them. Fans wanted to continue fighting bad guys and to be able to fight bosses again to add excitement to the game while collecting the remaining items.

Arkham City addressed this issue with "New Game Plus." It was a new game file that reset the story and started you with all of your gadget and riddler progress that you had when you completed the "hard" mode. This allowed players to "beat 'em up" again while getting those last few items.

Arkham Origins totally takes a dump on the whole concept. New Game Plus is actually New Game MINUS in this game. Your item collection from the "hard" file does NOT roll over. For example, if you want your riddler trophy collection to register as 100% on your game file, you need to get all of the trophies on the "hard" mode OR all of the trophies on "New Game MINUS" mode. There is no point to New Game MINUS other than being "extra-hard" mode.

Did WB Montreal even try?
