If you mean McNaughton, he didn't snatch Shirley's baby, he took Annie's baby.ad took teh If you remember, Annie's signed the adoption papers. The problem was that instead of going through proper (and legal) channels, he just paid the matron and took the baby right out of the hospital.
He asked after Shirley's baby because he studies premature babies and her baby was premature.
