It's a novel concept on tv, I know, but I think she has enough going on, and some tough decisions to make for herself without needing either man to make things worse, definitely not better. She could use a friend though so I hope she finds one soon. Most of the girls are way too young but maybe Shirley?

shareActually I would like Joan to end up by herself too. The story and setting of Love Child about social changes like the sexual revolution and forced adoptions from 1969 onwards was just the beginning for women to fight for their rights and keep their babies. As for Joan in episode for 4 she experiences some sexism in her job. I don't think Joan would be looking for love just yet, she's in the period where women start to be taken seriously.
