Creepy Inspector Mulligan

I thought she was going to shoot him when he came to the house. I wonder if he even has statements and/or photographs.

You're probably right about the statements and photographs.

Honestly, the only thing that made me stick out the one episode I saw was recognizing Iain Glen as Mulligan. Usually I enjoy watching Glen no matter what character he's playing, but Mulligan is turning out to be the exception.

It's bad enough that's he's creepy and contemptible, but he's also too pathetic to even make an interesting bad guy. I think this role is a waste of Glen's talent, and the show is a waste of my time.

It's funny seapoppyca, but I think the role of Inspector Mulligan showcases Iain Glen's talents! To me, he's the most interesting character in Breathless. He was truly pathetic as he sat in his underwear on the edge of Elizabeth's bed, whimpering after their too-brief encounter. He's a besotted creep, for sure!

I'll grant you he's the most interesting character on Breathless, but he's still leaving me cold here -- unlike any other thing I've seen him in! I'm sure it's the besotted creep bit that's having such a negative affect on me.

It's a positive showcase of his talents, a positive tour de force.
Can you not see that his making you find him creepy, contemptible and yet still pathetic is a testament to his formidable acting abilities!
