Dead bodies

Is it just me, or did it take an awfully long time for the bodies of Alex's victims to be found? It seemed to be at least several days before the bodies of Curtis and the waiter were found. If she just left them there after she killed them, they would have been found a lot more quickly than that. Also, when Annie went to the cops about Alex, it didn't seem like the cops were at all interested in the fact that there were 2 dead bodies found within the last day or so. You'd think they'd put two and two together.
