Pleasantly Surprised

I didn't think I would like this but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm Australian and have no idea about Canadian politics but I am learning much and really enjoying this show.

Real Canadian politics can be even crazier. There was a businessman with close ties to the Prime Minister Harper who set up a consulting firm to treat water on Indian reservations for the federal government. He listed his much younger girlfriend as one of the company's officers and when a reporter googled her phone number it turned out to be the same one she used years earlier working as an escort/prostitute.

glad to see that you are enjoying this taste of Canada. I heartily recommend that you read the book, same title, by terry fallis and the second book which carries on the story, called "the high road". his third book, "up and down" is free standing but is a charming and hilarious story, as are all his books.
as a proud Canadian, it is refreshing to see Canada, which so often substitutes for the united states in films, unabashedly featured in all of the true beauty and humour that we cherish. .....and we do have the most beautiful house of government in the world!

I love Canada, I admire Patriotism, but Canada does NOT have the most beautiful house of parliament. I don't know which is, but go and check out the house of parliament for Hungary. Canada's does not hold a candle (note that I am neither Canadian nor Hungarian).

Fun show though. :)

Fallis is an unfortunate name...
This show puts a smile on my face. That might not be enough for all shows, but it is enough for this one. It is charming.
