Major verbal and physical error within five minutes!

Ok, not a spoiler but this movie starts with a wife looking out of a second floor window at her husband talking with another guy. The husband returns and says "I left the keys with Hans, he is going to look after the fish while we are gone" she say's "You know I don't like it when he"s here and we aren't". A little tiff and he asks her if he should ask for the keys back. She says no blah blah. As they are getting into the car to leave the husband throws the keys to Hans. The wife even sees this. WTF? How do you make such an obvious mistake like that? I have a feeling this is not going to be good.......
