Surely one of the worst film titles in recent memory, doing no service to the picture and in fact, probably off-putting to anyone who chances across it. I'm not sure what else to call it, but a serious dramatic picture like this with such heavy themes deserves something that doesn't sound like a place holder on the first draft of the screenplay.

shareI've got to agree with you to be honest. I watched it half expecting an awful b-rate horror movie and I'm sure the title would make a lot of people think the same way. COUPLE IN A HOLE sounds like an 80s exploitation flick to me but it's so much more than that.
It's definitely not a perfect film, but after going in with somewhat low expectations I thought it was a small but very good film that dealt with the concept of emotional trauma and mourning in an innovative way.
I couldn't have said it better. I went in with the same expectations, and found it to be a rather haunting little film about grief. In a way, it reminded me of Blue Ruin, a better film about how loss can destroy lives.
