If I...

Worked at that horrible fish factory, I wouldn't go out of my way to piss off the werewolf chick. Seems like common sense.

When I watched it, I wondered about Denmark's sexual assault laws because when those two guys with the masks grabbed her in the locker room they should have been prosecuted for assault and battery at the least. And yeah...don't piss off the werewolf chick

Denmark is a strange place. From what I recall reading, they only outlawed child pornography fairly recently. That's some heinous shyte, batman! Guess they're like the Japs, in that regard.

Who, I ask you....is weirder than the Japs?

Since they weren't recorded doing that "prank" with the fish, it'd be their word against hers, and I doubt the police could've come up with anything to prosecute. Plus, it would've made things worse for her: they were already after her and reporting them to the police (if they didn't go to prison) would've probably made them kill her and dump her body in the ocean. I mean, the villagers organized very well against her and her mother once the werewolf thing got out.

I'm not defending their actions but I think that's the reason she didn't go to the cops. She didn't seem like a girl who'd go to the cops about things like that. In her home life, she couldn't really trust her mother's physician.

There is no objective reality... and that's Sucker Punch

I think the film suggests that the village people are aware of the mother's issues. However when Marie is attacked and assaulted, the perps aren't aware that she is following in her mother's paw prints, so to speak.🐭
