One puzzling question
why, according to IMDB, Lisa Edelstein is involved in 12 episodes of 13? Can 9th episode be without the main character?
shareThe imdb cast list for this show is kinda screwed up. \It only has Janeane Garofalo & the actress that plays her hot bisexual friend *eyeroll* listed in the pilot but I can't see these characters only being in 1 episode. I'm assuming once things start rolling it will be fixed.
shareWell in defense of Janeane, she has left the show and her character is going to be played by another actress, I'm not sure which episode the new actress starts though

Oh, no -- don't say that! She's the best thing about the show! I like Lisa Edelstein in the lead and the show overall, but it's unlikely I would even have started watching it w/out Garofolo. And the show always improves when her story is progressed. That'll be a real shame if what you say is true :(
I wonder why she left. Falling out with Marti, or she didn't like the way Lyla was developing.
shareYou are right on the money and I can't blame Garofalo.
She decided to go since she didn't like how things were panning out for her character and it seems Marti was unresponsive to any compromise or improvements. After watching all episodes, I don't know why Marti would chose to go in that direction with lyla. Anger issues? Anybody in her shoes would feel that way.
Oh well. Guess I'll have to stop watching once she leaves. She's my favorite character on the show.
