Why is this show so flat?

This program feels very flat to me. The new charcter, Jo although I know she supposed to be some kind of free spirit is so one dimensional, it is hard to watch. Give her a little personality and a range of emotions. Make her someone Abby could actually relate despite her flaws.

Do you think it is the directing?

I've grown more and more bored with this show with each and every episode but I think after this one I'm done with it completely.

jo is much more relatable now by ep. 10. i think they were playing first impression vs. spending more time around someone and therefore getting to know them.

the more time you spend with the show the deeper you get to know the characters.

first i was indifferent to the show and now 10 eps in i've developed a feeling for how most characters are.

i like that they don't shy away from showing the feelings of abbyms ex. or at least the little he's able to show.

the one thing i am sometimes wondering about is why they show a 40+ show on Bravo, which for me is intrinsically interwoven with teenagers and puberty and then i listen to Abby commenting on slutshaming, see tampons full of alcohol and realize that this show may be a way for kids to understand what their parents are going through during the divorce and how it has nothing to do with them
