Why would a young popular actress like Becca be interested in an older ,out of work not so great looking guy that is going through a divorce? Not in real life would that happen.

-Some women just like other women's men. She started sleeping with him before he was divorcing. She didn't have to live with him day in and day out. Soon as the divorce is final, she's out of there.
It happens in real life all the time. Being "young and popular" doesn't mean one is free of their own emotional baggage that gets played out in their relationships.
