Plus I can't stand Max.
I think the problem is that (to me at least) there is absolutely no chemistry between the two actors. And I don't mean romantic chemistry, I mean in general.
shareThe problem is they are just trying to be edgy by "including" a same sex couple in a show supposedly about troubled relationships but they don't care about the characters and you can tell. That and Heusinger is obviously not at ease playing a gay guy. Every time they share a scene, he looks like he can't wait to get away.

I feel the same way about Paul Adelstein. I've watched most of his stuff and I usually enjoy his acting a lot but on this show it seems like he could not care less. His performance is certainly not nuanced at all. It feels like Edelstein (Lisa) is doing all the emo heavy lifting. Abby is not surrounded by decent guys, that's for sure. Except Will until they ruin him too.
