Sorry pal, but what Decent movie where you watching, those were not Chupacabras, would you like to see a pic of what the lore of the Chupacabra looks like
Nice drawing of an oversized hairy-legged vampire bat (Diphylla ecaudata)feeding on a Brazilian zebu. But the creatures in The Descent depict a rogue tribe of chupacabras, as its explained in the films dialogue between the characters of Juno and Sarah.
Right? The chupacabra is a vampire-like creature that feeds on livestock and unwary humans, not a demon. I'm American but only live an hour or so from the Mexican border and the lore is not necessarily believed but not uncommon to hear around here.
Whoever is saying the creatures in The Descent are chupacabra is nuts. They were a "missing link" humanoid type thing, as there are cave drawings showing them emerging from the ground and hunting (and I believe they were in Virginia, so nowhere near a place the chupacabra would be "found").
I'm with you, I also live an hour north of the border, and never heard chupacabra described as anything like these things - including by one guy who swears he chased one away from his livestock. They do look a lot like the things in The Descent - and weren't *they* supposed to be humans who'd acclimated over many years?
But the creature seen in Texas and Northern Mexico is some kind of weird canid. Probably a coyote/wolf(Mexican or Red) hybrid with a genetic defect. It doesn't fit the description of what a chupacabra is supposed to be, so calling it a chupacabra is a misnomer.
There are different versions of what Chupacabra are supposed to look like. Sometimes they're humanoid reptile alien looking things. Sometimes they're hairless dogs.
It was never flat out stated that they were chupacabras... Yes legend spoke of chupacabras in the jungle but that doesn't mean that that was what they were
Had no issue with the monsters, thought they looked sufficient for a horror but everything else sucked
