Endearing fir historical sentiment

I'm from Georgia USA and know little of FIFA other than the basics of who they are aND that they've got a video game series. I'm not big on soccer, but I found this on netflix tonight and liked the actors. I thought the history of the organization was really endearing and as someone that didn't have any preconceived thoughts or knowledge of events it won me over. I teared up at the end when he was reelected. I don't know if I'd write a personal check for 200,000 $ like he did. Wow. When the girl got the goal at the end I was suckered into the sappyness, too.
Maybe it's a good movie for us outsiders that don't have any formed opinions. I thought the Gerard D character was great.
