Forever 16 - Movie/TV Pilot?

The movie has basically just started but it has the feel of a Pilot. I would be interested this type of fight crime television show. So we have a high school girl who was changed into a vampire. For some reason she has chosen to feed with hospital blood and not live food. So she isn't you normal vampire in that respect. She also seems to have physical abilities that are more advanced the regular vampires. This information hasn't been made clear. She also seems to still be holding on to he teenage feelings. I believe this will make her a very liked crime fighter even though she is a vampire.
So she is going to be working with a special fighters unit and also find her place in the world. A very enjoyable movie definitely a sure to be great TV show.

I agree, it has the feel of a pilot. Like Dark Angel, but from a Vampire perspective.

Agreed, it definitely felt like it was open-ended for use as a TV drama or at least a sequel. I hope that if it's continued it's improved upon; it was of course and obviously Lifetime movie, but it really was more goofy than they usually are, which is kind of saying something. I enjoyed it for what it was, definitely not an A class movie, this is a B or C flick, but we'll see I reckon. Even the Vampire Diaries had a poor pilot, things could turn around on this too. Time will only tell...

Really, I wish Blood Ties hadn't been cancelled after only 2 seasons, that was quite similar (Canadian, Vampire Crime/Drama) and was leaps and bounds better than Forever 16. Plus Vicky and Henry were an amazing crime-fighting and beautiful duo. Oh well, I'll just have to watch my DVD's of Blood Ties and read the books I guess...

Loved Blood Ties! Yeah, it was better than Forever 16, but I'd still love to see them do something with this one too.

I saw it last night and, as far as Lifetime movies go, it was not bad at all. And yes, I had the same thought, is this the start of a series? Granted there are vampire series already out there (True Blood, Vampire Diaries) but this is a little different and as the saying goes, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." It could work. Why not?

The ending definitely left an opening for a sequel or a series. But, the lead actress isn't going to be "Forever 16", and will start to look (and be!) older, so I suspect the best they could hope for would be a sequel or two, or a short-lived series.

All the actors from vampire series age. Doesn't stop them from having lots of seasons.

I pretty much agree. Guess time will tell. In any case, I'd be glad to see more of Raven, Mac, their friendship, etc.

It seems to be a pilot or they're making a sequel. I thought it was a TV series.

Felt like a pilot to me too...especially at the end when she found that other vamp...the bad one. Then when "her mom" brought that other boy over and talked about Raven continuing to live there and work with her. Would totally love it to be another vamp show.
