I'm guessing this is a show you have to warm to?
I'm watching it and it hasn't clicked yet. I think I'm still in shock that it's non-verbal.
shareAll silent films have a different "reality" than the one we're used to, so it takes a while to shift our mental gears to accept their "reality". Movies with subtitles are like that too. And radio comedies and dramas.
It's usually easier for kids to suspend their disbelief, so they tend to be more open to these different experiences. The older they get, the less willing they are to try new things.
Even so, comedy is subjective, so each person has a different idea of what's funny. What's despicable is that so many people are so eager to take advantage of the internet's anonymity, to viciously trash something they don't find funny, complete with personal attacks on the people who created it.
Would they have the nerve to say those vicious things to the performers if they were face to face with them?
