What an excellent range of emotions. Whether it's a near-tie or clear win, they're equally shocked somehow.
what gets me is on the first 2 eps,
there was always too judges who nit picked and complained about the home cook meal but praise the *beep* out of the chefs but then the result is a unanimous decision ?
and there was always a judge who had really stupid opinions...
Every.
Single.
Time.
In a 3-2 decision / 4-1 decision / 5-0 decision

I have a feeling that some of the reactions are sound bytes. I've definitely seen episodes where they announce a result and the audience just sits there with no reaction...then when they pan back to the chefs suddenly the sound starts.
My guess is the audience doesn't react on their own at all...but are told exactly how to react before they're recorded by signs and crowd hypers. But the editing is so crappy that you're able to notice it sometimes.
