I'm watching reruns from last season, and I'm bummed Olinsky got killed off. I didn't love his character, but he wasn't some handsome young guy like Ruzek and Halstead or even Atwater, I guess. He was buddies with Voight, and I thought his storyline at the end was very satisfying, but I didn't expect him to not make it in the end. This stinks. Heck, his wife already lost her daughter and now her husband. I guess her character won't be around either, haha. I wonder if Koteas wanted out the way Bush did? I doubt Hollywood is beating a path to his door.

I just caught this episode and the previous one—where you see him get stabbed—and it really bummed me out. Definitely one of my favorite characters. The whole episode, I was holding out hope that maybe his death was faked and that he’s gonna go undercover once he recovers, and pop up later in the series, but it doesn’t seem like the show is gonna play it that way.
Total bummer, but I still have my fingers crossed.
I haven’t seen any episodes after that (I don’t think), and if the show actually shows him on a coroners table then I’m probably gonna give this show a break for awhile.

So I asked somewhere else, but maybe you know this. Do you know how they explained Erin Lindsay's disappearance? I'd really like to know, without, of course, spoiling it for anyone else.

Erin left the unit to join the FBI in New York she got to say good bye to Voight in of the episodes last season not sure which one.

Thanks so much. I'm on a real PD jag. There are reruns on every weekday, and I've only seen one repeat, (SPOILER, the one where Burgess gets shot at the end of the episode). The funny thing is I never seem to figure out how the crimes are solved. Like what was with the house that was booby trapped and why? And after all that Lil' Kim is still having guns pointed at her willy-nilly.)
So while we're at it, what about Roman? Hasn't Burgess joined Intelligence? What happened to him? I'm watching an episode right now where he could end up dead but he's still hanging in there. And Burgess has a gun in her face.
