I’m glad Al didn’t turn on Voight, but really disappointed that he died. After season that was up-and-down ( some really good episodes), I thought this was a pretty strong ending. Thoughts?

shareExcept for Olinsky dying, I wasn't surprised by the end at all. On Chicago P.D. there's a constant message that anything Voight does is okay no matter how it may coincide with the law.
The Denny Woods character was essentially doomed from the start by challenging Voight. However, listening to Voight's self-aggrandizing speech about how the P.D. needs guys like him was not to my liking. Although, to be honest, the speech probably typifies what he tells himself to justify his less than legal actions.
