Could they somehow work the movie cast into the new season, especially Jerry Lundegaard?
That would be cool, but I suspect all those stars are too expensive or would be uninterested.
My thoughts are the back story of the Gerhardt crime family (or simply Floyd), Lorne Malvo or VM Varga, or the followup story of Mr. Wrench.

shareIt would be an interesting take to have the next season be set 100 years in the future. The murder/mystery scyfi genre could entirely take place aboard a space station.
