Seriously? A UFO?

They lost me there.

After Rye got killed and Molly found the balloon, I figured they had explained it away...

Thx for the spoiler warning.

That episode was from 2015. It's been 5 years.

I thought it was a nod to The Man Who Wasn’t There since the series has several references to other Coen Brothers movies. I understand if that doesn’t change your mind, though. I can see how this is a love or hate kind of scene.

I haven't seen The Man Who Wasn't There. I guess I'll have to find it.

I guess it was just out of character from the rest of the show.

Every season has one supernatural thing in it.

I missed the ones in Season 1 and 2.
Can you name them? I have to go back and see.

I second this, whats is the supernatural element in season 1?

Is it how Lorne Malvo keeps evading justice and mysteriously exits the house in the first episode? How he references "this is the best apple pie Ive had since the garden of eden" insinuating he is the devil? Lorne Malvo did delight in others suffering and sinning and seemed to tape many of these interactions to enjoy later.

Season 2 was the UFO showing up twice!

IMHO, even though the Coen Brothers aren't the actual writers of this series, the Coens are prone to some stupid, "we ran out of ideas" type shit in their movies, where you might or might not get the inside joke. It's why some of their movies are my favorites and some I can't fucking stand.
