Idiot Characters

I'm part-way through season one (I know I'm late to the game) and I find (easily) half the cast to be just idiots. Some of them are supposed to be idiots (the spray-tan guy is hilariously dumb), but Molly has been driving me nuts. She's supposed to be this bloodhound (the Marge Gunderson type) but she is just so frickin' incompetent that it makes me batty. The writers clearly think she's sly and savvy, but she makes dumb moves all the time.
